# Invite your team and assign seats

> Invite reps, give each one the right seat, and decide who can manage the team.

Get your whole team into Salesfinity in a few minutes, each with the features their seat includes.
The right seat for each person means reps get the tools they need, and managers get control without
using up a dialing seat.

<Note>
  Only the **team owner** or someone with an **Admin** seat can invite, remove or change people.
  Everyone else sees the **People** tab but cannot edit it.
</Note>

## Roles and seats at a glance

Each person has a **role** and a **license**. The role says who owns the team. The license is the
seat they hold.

| | Owner | Admin seat | Member with a paid seat |
| - | :-: | :-: | :-: |
| Uses one of your paid seats | If they hold one | — | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> |
| Dials | If they hold a paid seat | — | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> |
| Invites and removes people | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | — |

| Sees **Card Layout**, **Dialer Settings** and **Coaching** in Settings | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | — |
| Approves Ari's actions for other people | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | — |
| Can be removed or deactivated | Never | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> | <Icon icon="check" color="#5429D8" /> |

**Paid seats** are Silver, Gold, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus. Each one unlocks the features of
its plan. See [Choose the right plan](/account/plans).

**Admin seats** are free of the seat count. Give one to a manager or RevOps lead who runs the team
but does not make calls. Admins can use Ari, join the Salesfloor and review coaching, but they have
no dialing lines or phone numbers.

## Invite someone

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings › People">
    The seat cards at the top show **Total licenses** and **Licenses in use** for each plan you own.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Invite people">
    The dialog lists **Available licenses** for each plan.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter their email and pick a license">
    Choose one of the plans your team owns seats for, or **Admin**. If a plan has no free seats,
    **Send invite** is greyed out.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    They get an email to join your team. Until they accept, the invite shows under the members
    table with an **Invitation link** you can copy and share yourself.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  A pending invite holds its seat. If someone never accepts, delete the invite from the
  invitations table to free the seat.
</Info>

## Change someone's seat

On **Settings** › **People**, use the **License type** column to move a person to another plan or
to **Admin**. A paid plan needs a free seat on that plan. Moving to Admin always works, because
Admin uses no seat.

Only the owner can change the owner's license, and admins cannot change their own.

When a rep moves to a new plan, their features change at once. Their line limit follows the plan:
1 line on Silver, up to 5 on Gold and Enterprise.

## Deactivate or remove someone

| Action | Where | What happens |
| - | - | - |
| **Deactivate** | Set **Status** to **Inactive** | They lose access, and their seat is freed. Their history stays. Set them back to **Active** later if a seat is free. |
| **Remove** | The trash icon, **Remove member** | They leave the team for good, and their seat is freed. This cannot be undone. |

You cannot deactivate or remove the team owner, and you cannot remove yourself.

<Tip>
  Replacing a rep? Deactivate the person who left, then invite the new hire onto the freed seat.
</Tip>

## Control what each rep sees

The members table also holds per-person controls:

* **Team call history access** decides whether a member can see the whole team's calls or only
  their own. Owners and admins always see everything.
* The dialer rule columns, such as **Record calls**, **Allow AI dialing** and
  **Max parallel calls**, lock a dialer setting for that rep. See
  [Set up your team](/account/team-settings#set-dialer-rules-for-each-rep).
