# Follow up at the right time with Nurture AI

> Let AI read your calls, pick a follow-up date and priority, and keep every promising conversation from going cold.

Nurture AI turns your conversations into a follow-up list, with a date and a reason for each one.
Most deals that say "not now" can say yes later, if someone calls back at the right time.

<Note>
  The **Nurture AI** page is available on the Gold, Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans, and to
  admins. If you have access, you see **Nurture AI** in the left sidebar.
</Note>

## How it works

<Steps>
  <Step title="You have a real conversation and log it">
    Log the call in the dialer as usual. Nurture AI looks at calls that ran 50 seconds or longer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Nurture AI reads the call">
    It reads the transcript and the outcome you logged. Then it decides whether a follow-up is
    worth it, and when. If a call isn't worth chasing, no task is created.
  </Step>

  <Step title="A follow-up lands on your list">
    If the call is worth a follow-up, you get a task with a follow-up date within the next six
    months, a priority, and a short reason that points back to the call.
  </Step>

  <Step title="You call back on the day">
    Work the list from the **Nurture AI** page, or send the people you picked to the dialer.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Nurture AI reads the transcript, so record your calls with **Both sides** for the best results.
  See [Review recordings and transcripts](/calls/recordings-and-transcripts).
</Info>

### Calls it skips

Nurture AI doesn't create a follow-up when the call:

* was shorter than 50 seconds,
* went to voicemail,
* already booked a meeting,
* was logged as a referral, do not call again, wrong contact, bad number, gatekeeper, or no longer
  with the company.

If the person already has an open follow-up, a new call adds a **touch** to it instead of making a
second task.

## What each follow-up tells you

Open a follow-up to see what Nurture AI picked up from the call. The **Overview** tab can show:

| Field | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Touches** | How many calls you have had with this person since the follow-up started. |
| **Use cases** | The problems they are solving today. |
| **Mentioned people** | Other people they named who own the problem. |
| **Existing solution** | The tool or vendor they use now. |
| **Existing solution problems** | What isn't working with it. |
| **Satisfaction with existing solution** | How happy they sound with it, from 0 to 10. |

Each follow-up also gets a **Tag** for the main objection: **Timing**, **Budget** or **Competitor**.
Use the **Comments** tab to leave notes for your team, and the **Activity** tab to see past calls.

## Work your follow-up list

The quick filters at the top of the page split the list for you:

* **Hot**: open follow-ups marked high priority.
* **All**: every open follow-up.
* **This week**: open follow-ups due this week.
* **Completed**: follow-ups you finished.

You can also filter by **Tag**, **Priority**, **Status**, **Touches**, **Follow-up date** and
**Contact owner**, and sort or group the list.

Select follow-ups with the checkboxes to act on many at once. Hover over each icon to see its name:

  </Card>

  <Card title="Reassign Owner" icon="user-group">

  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Add a follow-up yourself

Click **Add task**. Search for the contact, set a **Priority** and an **Assignee**, and add
**Context/Notes** so whoever calls back knows why.
