Sequences

Delete a sequence

Permanently deletes the sequence, its steps, and the enrollment records of everyone who went through it. This cannot be undone. Templates the steps used are not deleted.

Refused with 409 while any enrollment in the sequence is pending, active or paused. Disabling the sequence does not help, because disabling pauses enrollments. Finish them first (POST /v2/sequencer/enrollments/bulk/finish), or move them to another sequence (POST /v2/sequencer/enrollments/bulk/move).

This DELETE takes a JSON body carrying user_id, who must be the author, the team owner or a team admin. A retry after a success returns 404. Counts toward the Sequencer writes rate limit.

Deleting is refused with 409 while any enrollment in the sequence is pending, active or paused. Disabling the sequence does not help: disabling pauses enrollments, and paused enrollments still count.

Clearing a sequence before you delete it

Find who is still in it: GET /v2/sequencer/enrollments?sequence=SEQ_ID&state=active, then the same with state=paused and state=pending.
Finish them with Finish enrollments in bulk, or move them to another sequence with Move enrollments to another sequence.
Delete the sequence.

If you only want to stop it, disable it instead: that keeps every enrollment and can be undone.

Example

This DELETE takes a JSON body carrying user_id. Some HTTP clients drop the body of a DELETE by default, which gets a 400.
