Best calls keeps the moments worth learning from on your team’s real calls, in playlists. Reps listen first, then practice with the same kind of prospect. Owners and admins pick the clips, and Ari suggests new ones every week. A playlist can also be a listen step in a training plan, so new reps hear it before they practice.
Everyone on the team can listen to Best calls. Only owners and admins add calls, cut clips and build playlists.

Listen to a playlist

1

Open Best calls

Open Coaching › Best calls and pick a playlist. Its clips show on the left and the player on the right.
2

Play a clip

Each clip shows the rep, the company, its length and how the call ended, such as Booked, Callback booked or Put through. Under What was said, the key line is highlighted. Click any line to jump to it, and read your coach’s note on what to listen for.
3

Practice it

Click Practice with this prospect. You get a practice call built from that real call, starting where the clip starts.
A clip counts as heard once most of it has played. Each playlist card shows how many clips you’ve heard, such as “You’ve heard 2 of 6”.

Start with one playlist

A team with no playlists yet sees one card: Booked on the first call. It holds every call that scored 85 or more and booked a meeting in the last 30 days, up to 10, and it Updates itself. Click Create it. Or click Add a call to cut a moment yourself.

Add a call

1

Click Add a call

On Best calls, click Add a call. You can also click Add to Best calls on a call in Call history, in a call’s details panel, or on its scorecard.
2

Pick the call

Pick a scored call with a recording. The search covers the last 30 days unless you pick dates, and you can filter by rep, outcome and score.
3

Trim the moment

The clip starts on the strongest moment the scorer found, from 5 seconds before it to 15 seconds after. Drag the handles, or type Starts at and Ends at. A clip runs from 5 seconds to 3 minutes, or switch on Full call. The Moments Ari scored on this call chips jump to other moments.
4

Say what it's for

Write a Title in plain words and, if you like, Your note on what to listen for. Pick the Skill, and the Objection if there is one.
5

Save it to a playlist

Tick at least one playlist, or click New playlist, then click Save clip.

Build a playlist

Click New playlist and give it a Title and, if you like, a Description. A playlist holds up to 30 clips. Drag clips to reorder them, or click × to take one out. On each playlist card, owners and admins see how far the team got, such as “3 of 8 reps have listened to all of it”. When a training plan uses the playlist as a listen step, the card says which plan.

Let a playlist update itself

In Edit playlist, turn on Updates itself. Ari then picks the calls that match your rule every night, and you can’t add or reorder clips by hand. The rule can use:
  • the overall score, 85 or more by default
  • the outcome, Booked a meeting by default
  • a score on one skill
  • an objection that was handled
  • how far back to look, 30 days by default
  • how many calls to keep, up to 30 (10 by default)
  • whole calls instead of the best moment
Turning it on replaces the clips you added by hand. Turning it off keeps the clips that are there.

Hide names

Turn on Hide names for a playlist of common mistakes. Reps, prospects and companies then read as “a rep”, “the prospect” and “a company”. Names are hidden in the text only: the audio is the same, so voices can be recognized.

Ari found these this week

Owners and admins see up to 5 clips Ari suggests, every Monday morning, or on your first visit to Best calls that week. They come from your team’s recorded real calls in the last 7 days that ended well, such as a meeting booked, and scored high. Each one says why it’s worth hearing, such as “Your team lost 24 calls to this line this week.” Click Add to playlist, or Skip to hide it for good. A suggestion you leave goes away after 14 days.

Share a clip in Slack

Click Share in Slack on a clip, and Ari posts its title, your note and a link to listen, in a channel or to a teammate. This needs Ari connected to your team’s Slack. Without it, click Copy link and share it yourself. See Connect Ari to Slack. The link opens the clip in Salesfinity, so only people signed in to your team can play it. To post in a private channel, invite Ari to it first.

Good to know

A clip needs a call with a recording. Without a score, the editor has no moments to suggest and starts at the first 30 seconds.
Owners and admins see it on each clip, such as “Heard by 7 reps · 4 of them practiced it afterwards”.
Its clips stay in Best calls. Any training plan step that listened to it is taken out.
No. Reps listen and practice. Owners and admins add calls and build playlists.
