Someone fills in your lead form on Facebook or LinkedIn, and asks to hear from you. Send each lead to Salesfinity with a tag, and the rep dialing your inbound list calls them next, with the form and campaign in front of them.

When to use it

  • You run Facebook Lead Ads (Meta instant forms) or LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms.
  • The form offers a demo, a consultation or a callback: something people expect a call about.
Forms for an ebook or a webinar? Send those leads without a tag, or to a nurture list. They asked for content, not a call.

What you need

  • A list the rep dials, its _id, and an API key. See Before you start.
  • Access to the form’s leads:
    • Facebook: permission to manage the Page and its ad account, with leads access. A Page owner or Business Manager admin may need to grant it.
    • LinkedIn: Account Manager or Campaign Manager on the ad account, and Page admin or Lead Gen Forms Manager on the Page.
  • Zapier or Make. In Zapier, Facebook Lead Ads and LinkedIn Ads are premium apps, like Webhooks by Zapier.

Set it up

1

Ask for a phone number, and say you'll call

  • Facebook: add the Phone number question. It’s filled in from the person’s profile when it’s there, and they can edit it.
  • LinkedIn: add Work phone number or Personal phone number.
Say plainly that you’ll call, for example: “Book your demo. We’ll call you to set up a time.” For a consent checkbox, use Custom notices → Add custom disclaimer on Facebook, or Add checkbox under Data privacy on LinkedIn. Both forms need a link to your privacy policy. Check the consent wording with whoever owns compliance where you sell.
2

Catch each new lead

Pick the Page or ad account, and the form. One Zap or scenario per form keeps the tag and notes right.
3

Format the phone number

People type numbers in every format. In Zapier, add Formatter → Numbers → Format Phone Number, with the E.164 format (+17205550148) and the country you run the ad in.
4

Send the lead to Salesfinity

Use the tag "Facebook lead" or "LinkedIn lead". Put the form name, the campaign or ad, and any custom answers in notes, so the rep knows what the person asked for.

What to send

Test it

  1. Point the Zap or scenario at a test list of your own while you test. Test leads carry placeholder details, and you don’t want a rep dialing them.
  2. Create a test lead on the form: with Facebook’s Lead Ads Testing Tool, or from LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  3. In the Zap or scenario’s history, check that Salesfinity answered 201, and that the lead is at the top of your test list with its tag and notes.
  4. To hear it ring, start dialing the test list and run the cURL example with your own name and mobile number. Then point the workflow at the rep’s list.

Good to know

  • Leads at night wait at the top. A lead that arrives while nobody is dialing gets a notification for the list’s owner, and is dialed first when they press Start. At the start of a session, up to 5 leads tagged in the last day go out on their own line.
  • A big campaign day. If one rep can’t keep up, give each rep their own list and split the leads between them, for example in turns or by region.
  • Same person twice. Someone who fills in two of your forms moves to the top again and takes the newer tag, instead of being added twice. They keep the notes from their first form.
  • Numbers that can’t be called. A number marked do not call or wrong is skipped, and so is anyone outside the rep’s working hours when the rep has that limit on. See Good to know.
